Happy New Year CCFDCA, Inc., family and friends!
I thought I was getting away, but here I am again serving another term as your president.
As we enter this New Year, I’m forced to once again take a look back and reflect on our past.
Wow, another year has come and gone and we’ve survived.
Some of us will reflect on all of the negative things that happened in our lives,
while others will be grateful to have another chance to get it right!
Think about it, we all tend to complain about one thing or another when in fact,
we really shouldn’t complain at all.
We have our health, such as it is…but yet we complain about minor aches and pains;
we have our daycares…but they aren’t full; I could go on and on but I’ll stop there.
Think about those who can’t even feel the pain that they have because they have learned to live with it;
or those who had jobs but no longer have them. By far we are blessed more than we know.
My pledge for 2010 is to be mindful of the blessings that I have and to be thankful for them.
I may have aches and pains but, at least I can feel them;
my daycare may not be full but I’m thankful that I still have one.
Instead of focusing on what’s wrong with my life,
I’m focusing on how I can make my life better and how I can help someone else along the way.
Let’s be thankful that we’re blessed enough to still have a life!
Have a blessed and safe New Year remember Great things are coming your way!
