Meetings & Training
Our monthly meetings and training are held on the third Thursday of each month at the Huntington Community Center,
located at 3281 Huntington Circle, Waldorf, MD, unless otherwise noted.
Doors open at 6:00 pm and our meetings start promptly at 6:30 pm.
Members are encouraged to arrive on time.
Members who arrive after 6:45 pm, may stay however, you will not receive a training certificate for that class.
Upon your arrival we ask your cooperation with the following areas:
· You arrive on time
· Sign in at the door
· Mute or turn off your cell phones
· Limit side conservations; as so your fellow members may receive the full benefit of our training
· Contribute to the refreshments
All members of the child care profession are invited to attend our training and are encouraged
to bring a friend or provider who may not be a CCFDCA, Inc. member.
Non-members are charged a $15.00 admission fee plus the cost of training if applicable.
All training and board meetings are listed on the website and in the quarterly newsletter.
These meetings are open to our members and the general public unless otherwise stated.
To accommodate additional participants, we ask that you notify a board member in advance of attending.
Because of the nature of our business and topics of our training we ask that your children not accompany you to these meetings and/or training.
It is our goal to keep our membership and overhead cost to a minimum therefore,
we ask that all members participate in fundraising.
Revenue generated from fundraising will be used to offset the cost of training and activities through the year.
Provider Access Line (PAL)
PAL – is a benefit available only to our members.
It is an avenue by which parents may locate a registered child care provider in Charles County, Maryland.
These providers are members of the CCFDCA, Inc. Members who have completed the registration
process through the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care (MSDE-OCC);
have obtained a certified certificate of registration; and have submitted a membership application
and clear & current copy of their registration to the membership coordinator are eligible to participate in this service.
These members are also required to uphold the bylaws of the organization maintain
their paid membership and are asked to telephone the
membership coordinator on the 1st of each month to report vacancies.
Members who do not report vacancies will be recorded as
full until further notice and will not receive calls from PAL.
